Peptide Sourcing & Safety Standards

Where Your Peptides Come From Matters More Than You Think

If you're researching peptide therapy, you've probably noticed something: peptides are available from a wide range of sources, from medical clinics to online retailers to overseas suppliers. The pricing varies wildly. The quality varies even more.

Here's what you need to understand about sourcing before you put anything in your body.

The Peptide Sourcing Problem

The peptide market exists in a regulatory gray area. While specific peptides are regulated as pharmaceutical compounds, others are sold as “research chemicals” — technically not for human use, but marketed in ways that suggest otherwise.

This creates a real problem for consumers:

"Research-grade" peptides have no requirement for pharmaceutical-grade purity
Overseas suppliers operate outside US regulatory oversight
Without third-party testing, there's no way to verify what's actually in the vial
Contamination, incorrect concentration, and degraded compounds are documented risks
No medical oversight means no one is monitoring your response or adjusting your protocol

The Regenesis MD Standard

We've eliminated these variables. Here's exactly how peptide sourcing works at our practice:

1. FDA-Registered US Compounding Pharmacies Only

Every peptide compound we prescribe comes from a licensed, FDA-registered compounding pharmacy operating within the United States. These pharmacies are subject to FDA inspection, state pharmacy board oversight, and must comply with USP 797 and USP 800 standards for sterile compounding.

What this means for you: the compounds you receive meet pharmaceutical-grade standards for purity, potency, and sterility. Period.

2. Batch Testing & Documentation

Our pharmacy partners test every batch for:

  • Identity verification (confirming the correct compound)
  • Potency (ensuring accurate concentration)
  • Sterility (no bacterial contamination)
  • Endotoxin levels (within safe limits)
  • pH and particulate matter

Certificates of Analysis (COA) are available. If you want to see the testing documentation for your specific prescription, ask. We consider that a reasonable request.

3. Chain of Custody

From pharmacy to patient, we maintain cold-chain requirements where applicable. Peptides that require refrigeration are stored and shipped under proper temperature conditions. You'll receive clear storage instructions with every prescription.

4. Physician Prescribing

This might seem obvious, but it's worth stating: every peptide at Regenesis MD is prescribed by a licensed physician (Dr. Bhavna Vaidya) after a medical consultation and lab review. No exceptions.

We don't sell peptides. We prescribe them as part of a monitored medical protocol. There's a meaningful difference.

How to Evaluate Any Peptide Clinic's Sourcing

Whether you choose Regenesis MD or another practice, here's what to ask:

"Do you source from FDA-registered US compounding pharmacies?"

The answer should be an immediate, specific yes.

"Can I see a Certificate of Analysis for my prescription?"

Legitimate pharmacies produce these routinely.

"Who prescribes the peptides?"

Should be a licensed physician — MD or DO.

"Are the peptides labeled 'for research use only'?"

If yes, walk away. That's not medical-grade.

Any clinic that gets vague on sourcing questions is telling you something. Listen to it.

What About Peptides From Online Suppliers?

We're often asked about purchasing peptides online. Our position is straightforward: peptides purchased outside a medical setting — without a prescription, without lab work, without physician monitoring — carry risks we can't endorse.

Even if the compound itself is legitimate, using it without baseline labs means you're operating blind. You don't know your current hormone levels, inflammatory markers, or metabolic status. You can't measure whether the peptide is actually doing anything. And you have no medical guidance if something goes wrong.

Peptide therapy is medicine. It should be treated that way.
